For the purposes of today, we’ll be doubling down on the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses. You have a choice of 2 memory foam models in the Serta Perfect Sleeper line. Both of these mattresses are broadly similar in terms of composition.
Serta sells a wide line of hybrid and innerspring mattresses both directly to consumers, online, and in stores.
We’ll be looking at both the Caledonian Plush and the Molenda Luxe Firm so you can decide whether these pricey memory foam models are worth the extra cost or worth giving a swerve. We’re not here to sell you on anything. We’re here to guide you, instead, toward buying the best mattress the easy way.
Before we start exploring the construction, firmness, and feel of this mattress, a few words on who should buy the Serta Perfect Sleeper and who should avoid this memory foam mattress.
2.5 out of 5.0 stars
Who Should Buy The Serta Perfect Sleeper
- If you spend lots of time reading at the edge of bed, or you sleep near the edge, you’ll find the Serta Perfect Sleeper line are all nicely supportive
- The breadth of choice with this company is enviable
- You can benefit from free White Glove delivery on all online orders
Who Should Avoid The Serta Perfect Sleeper
- All Serta mattresses come under fire for failing to live up to long in service
- Bargain hunters can certainly do better elsewhere. These mattresses are not cheap, but there’s no specific benefit or improvement in memory foam to compensate
- The quality of the Serta Perfect Sleeper line is not as high as you’ll find with Serta iComfort mattresses, so if you’re shopping for mattresses based primarily on quality, this whole range will let you down

1.0 out of 5.0 starsThe mattress was not a cheap one. iCloud Prodigy was supposed to one of the best. Well after 2 years the company discontinued the mattress due to the amount of consumer complaints. I have not been able to have my mattress replaced, they will not honor their warranty. I’m very disappointed.

1.0 out of 5.0 starsMattress sags on one side in the middle and the mattress is only 2 years old. Called Serta. Was told to call Sears corporate. Sears says call serta. We did not spend 1000 on a mattress for it to break down so fast. Also irritated that I keep getting the run around on the warranty.

1.0 out of 5.0 starsThe worst mattress I have ever bought. We returned the first one because it was so uncomfortable that I was not sleeping very well tossing and turning nonstop.
So we exchanged it for another style and firmness level. I’ve had the mattress for 5 mos and thus one is worse than the first one, it dips, it has uneven spots, it’s so uncomfortable to sleep on. Never will I ever purchase any Serta mattress again. Nothing but a waste of money and sleep!
Verdict
The Serta Perfect Sleeper is a reasonable memory foam mattress. You don’t get quite the same build quality or attention to detail as you find on the iComfort line of mattresses. That said, you won’t need to pay quite as much for the privilege either.
We struggle to strongly recommend Serta mattresses due to the high level of negative feedback you can find from customers. This typically gives us cause for concern, so we like to pass those concerns on to you, the consumer. If we’ve done our job properly, you’ll find shopping for the best mattress couldn’t be easier.
